Sofidel Innovation Awards

The Sofidel Innovation Awards is a global internal initiative open to all Group employees, created to promote everyone's ideas and turn them into reality.

We believe that innovation stems from a combination of humility and ambition: the courage to propose new solutions and the awareness that true progress is built together, by listening, learning and improving every day.
Each contribution is carefully evaluated and the most deserving ideas are rewarded and entrusted to the respective departments for development.
The Sofidel Innovation Awards continue to be an opportunity to highlight talent, generate inspiration and reinforce a common awareness: the future is built together, with the strength of the Group, combining skills, creativity and enthusiasm.

Sofidel 2030

Sofidel 2030 project was launched in 2020 to create a corporate environment that fosters innovation.

Developed in collaboration with the POLIMI School of Management, the first phase involved senior management, which produced a clear vision that guided all innovation activities. The second phase broadened participation to include a larger number of colleagues through online courses on “Innovation and Design Thinking,” aimed at discovering new ways of collaborating and designing together. The third phase, called Leadership – MIND (Meaningful Innovation Directions), featured individual and group creativity and design sessions to develop co-designs for new products, processes, and services directly related to Sofidel’s business.

Sofidel Y – The Power of Why

Sofidel Y – The Power of Why is the evolution of the innovation journey that began with Sofidel 2030.

It was created to make innovation an integral part of the way Sofidel thinks and works, going beyond technology and focusing on people, consumers, and long-term value.
The program integrates data, research, AI, and observation of international macro-trends, putting the consumer at the center and based on a structured, end-to-end approach developed with the methodological contribution of the Politecnico di Milano, covering the entire innovation process: from defining the right questions (Why?) to generating ideas, to developing and measuring results.

Artificial Intelligence, together towards the future

Sofidel has created a Central Department dedicated to Artificial Intelligence to integrate this technology in a strategic, human and collaborative way. A new space for innovation, where experience, vision and AI come together to tackle complex challenges and generate real value.

Central AI Department

The Central AI Department was created to support the Group in its journey of evolution, integrating Artificial Intelligence as a strategic lever to enhance processes, decisions, and services.

This area is grounded in a simple principle: innovation is a shared journey. AI, indeed, is not just technology—it is an opportunity to grow together by combining skills, curiosity, and vision. Through close collaboration with all business functions, the AI team helps explore new solutions, elevate ideas, and develop tools that generate real impact.

The Central AI Department marks an important step toward the future: a place where insights, experience, and technology come together to turn complex challenges into opportunities for continuous improvement.
