Sofidel’s commitment to promoting sustainable development continues with another recognition, in this case for the efficient use of energy in its production processes. The plant in Călăraşi, Romania, has recently implemented an energy management system in compliance with the ISO 50001 standard.
The standard defines the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and improving an energy management system in order to achieve continuous improvement of performance in relation to energy efficiency, safety, use and consumption.
The Romanian plant joins all the other Group sites that have already obtained this certification, becoming the first tissue paper mill in Romania to achieve ISO 50001 certification.
