Sofidel has been invited to participate in the CDP Europe Awards 2022, the annual event where CDP celebrates European companies and cities included in the prestigious A List.
CDP is a nonprofit organization that supports investors, companies, cities, countries and regions worldwide in managing their environmental impact, providing assessments and insight on environmental performance The A List companies are those that have excelled in the areas of Climate Change, Forests and Water Security. The criteria according to which CDP releases the ranking are based on the level of transparency and performance of the companies evaluated. In 2021, 272 out of about 12,000 companies were included in CDP's A List.
Sofidel was included in the 2021 Climate Change A List with the highest rating (A) for its commitment to fighting climate change. On the same occasion, the Group also saw its leadership in the fight against deforestation recognized, achieving an A- rating on the CDP’s Forests A List.
Riccardo Balducci, Sofidel Energy & Environment Director, participated in the event with a video contribution. "For Sofidel, being included in the CDP’s A List is not only a privilege and an honor, but also a confirmation that we are working in the right direction in the fight against climate change and deforestation. This is important recognition that motivates us to do even more”, he said.
More recently, Sofidel was awarded an A- rating in the CDP 2021 Supplier Engagement Rating Report which measures the ability to engage suppliers in the fight against climate change.
