LESS IS MORE: THE GUIDING PRINCIPLE OF ALL ACTIVITIES AT SOFIDEL

Less is More means seeking while planning activities, just like designing and carrying out projects for improvement, the most innovative, creative and original solutions to give “more” in terms of values, products and services, “with less”, in terms of, for instance, energy or water consumption, production of climate-altering gases, price/costs and any kind of negative impact.

Sofidel’s sustainability strategy aims at “building an inclusive, sustainable and resilient future for people and planet”, in accordance with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. SOFIDEL SUPPLIERS SUSTAINABILITY AWARD

The Sofidel Group is committed to be responsible for its corporate management by directing all the activities and decision-making processes, being in line with the sustainable development objectives shared by the whole Group. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary and in order to promote the ethical and responsible management of the supply chain, the Group assigns the “SOFIDEL SUPPLIERS SUSTAINABILITY AWARD” to the most sustainable Suppliers considered fundamental business partners for the achievement of its own strategy.

DOXA RESEARCH

Sofidel commissioned Doxa Marketing Advice to carry out research to find out what people want and their dreams for a better, more sustainable world, now and in ten years’ time, in 5 different European countries…

The project: Alcohol-Free Truck

Sofidel has always promoted a culture of health, from the production facilities to the health and hygiene characteristics of its finished products, up until their distribution via road transport. Aware of the dramatic importance of road safety, Sofidel recently felt duty bound to commit itself on this front too, given the large number of vehicles that annually transport its products on Europe’s roads (35.000 in Italy; 185.000 in Europe). This has led to the creation of Alcohol-Free Truck, a unique and innovative project in the tissue sector that promotes a policy of protecting and safeguarding road safety and safety in the workplace against alcohol-related issues.

From customers to shareholders, employees to suppliers, business partners to institutional stakeholders, Sofidel’s business is designed to promote well-being, health and safety with a transparent, interactive and collaborative approach.

ENVIRONMENT

The reduction of climate-altering gas emissions, preserving forestry and energy resources, reducing water consumption… Sofidel invests in technologies and practices to reduce the environmental footprint of its business.

PARTNERSHIP

In adopting corporate social responsibility and sustainability as its strategic approach for expansion, the Sofidel Group started other partnerships with other important institutions, foundations and NGOs focused on social or environmental issues.

For the Sofidel Group it is important to develop ways to measure and present a financial statement for achieved results that are clear and consolidated. They also need to aim at ensuring transparent communication, protect those with an interest, comparability of performances and support decision-makers.
