An initiative to raise awareness of an issue that is becoming increasingly contemporary and important. Thanks to the contributions presented<strong>, the e-book enables people to have a more informed opinion on the implications of water as resource in public health, climate changes, economy and businesses<\/strong>.\n\nMore in detail, the e-book contains the following contributions:\n<ul>\n \t<li><em>\u201cQuality control methods and criteria of Italian waters: Current issues and perspectives\u201d<\/em>, by <strong>Laura Achene<\/strong>, Italian National Institute of Health \u2013 Internal Water Hygiene Department<\/li>\n \t<li><em>\u201cWater: a precious resource for mitigation and adaptation policies for climate change\u201d<\/em>, by Prof. <strong>Alessandra Goria<\/strong>, Teacher of Political Economy and Law at IIS \u201cCarlo Cattaneo\u201d in Milan<\/li>\n \t<li><em>\u201cWater as an economic issue\u201d<\/em>, written by Prof. <strong>Antonio Massarutto<\/strong>, Lecturer in Applied Economics at the University of Udine<\/li>\n \t<li><em>\u201cCompanies\u2019 sustainable water management: the need for cultural awareness\u201d<\/em>, by <strong>Silvio De Girolamo<\/strong>, Chief Audit Executive &amp; CSR Officer Autogrill Group.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nThe publication also contains an extract from <strong>Luigi Einaudi<\/strong> entitled \u201c<em>The government of resources\u201d<\/em>, taken from the magazine <em>\u201cLa riforma sociale\u201d<\/em> (Social Reform).\n\n<strong>Safeguarding water resources is one of the three fundamental pillars<\/strong> of Sofidel\u2019s sustainable environmental development strategy, together with<strong> limiting climate-changing emissions<\/strong> and <strong>the procurement of cellulose certified<\/strong> by independent third parties with forestry certification schemes.
