The “I’ll take care of you” PRIZE CONTEST for primary schools is underway, run by WWF with the support of Sofidel.
Until 15 May 2017 all classes registered for the competition can take part in the online quiz challenge, where there are big prizes for the first 20 winners: a supply (one pallet) of toilet paper for the school, tissues and teddy bear key rings for pupils and an educational kit for teachers (materials which will be delivered within the current academic year). Groups taking part in the competition will become benchmark classes for the WWF and will be used in its communications and events.
For schools which have not yet begun the learning programme, which this year is themed on FORESTS, there is still time to get started!
Interested teachers can register online at www.educazionedigitale.it/wwf ; registration is simple and completely free, with the following teaching materials:
- a digital lesson to be used directly with the class, going into detail about the link between children’s lifestyles and environmental issues with an interactive and multi-media based approach.
- fact sheets, aimed at teachers, dealing with the main environmental themes (water, climate and forests) in a practical way, offering a number of ideas for classroom work;
- training for the competition.
At the end of April 2017, more than 6,200 classes had signed up to the educational scheme (around 155,325 students aged between 9 and 13) along with 3,316 teachers.
