6. CLEAN WATER AND SANITATION
Being aware of how precious water is as a resource for the survival of the planet, Sofidel is also very attentive to the correct management of water; our production processes are constantly monitored in order to optimise the use of water resources.

7. AFFORDABLE AND CLEAN ENERGY
Since 2009, Sofidel has been committed to improving energy efficiency and reducing plant emissions through investments in biomass, cogeneration, hydroelectric and solar power.
The Group’s objective is to achieve an 8% increase in the use of renewable sources on the quantity of fuels consumed each year by 2020, reducing direct greenhouse gas emissions per tonne of paper produced by 23% and indirect emissions by 13% compared to 2009 levels.Read more
