In this global era, we need to think about the planet in global terms too. Young people need to understand that every action, even the smallest, can have important consequences on the balance of nature and everyone's future.
To help raise awareness of and attention to the environment, a digital educational program for schools has been created by WWF Italy with support from Sofidel. It's called, "Mi curo di te: il gesto di ognuno per il pianeta di tutti" (I'll take care of you: individual actions for everyone's planet). A completely free educational project, aimed at primary and secondary schools, it began in September and will last for three years, covering a significant environmental theme each year. For the 2014/2015 school year, the theme is water; in the following years, it will be climate change and then forests.
Sofidel (being part of the paper industry, which is a particularly energy-intensive sector and uses large volumes of water for production processes) is committed to its environmental policies in optimising the use of water resources.
