With Nicky products, the Sofidel Group continues its partnership with Telethon.
Consumers who buy any Nicky Limone or Nicky Elite product from a major hypermarket or supermarket in Italy will also be helping Telethon research.
The Telethon Foundation asked the film director, Mauro Mancini, to create a short film dedicated to Sofidel and the other Telethon partners. This film was presented today during the "Telethon day" in Rome and will be broadcast on Rai during the television marathon from 8-20 December, 2014.
The "stars" are not actors but real people, and include our colleague Piero.
The film shows people going about their daily work to the tune of "Grazie" by the Italian singer and songwriter, Gino Paoli. Paoli is a Telethon testimonial and kindly agreed to the use of his music. In the film's closing sequence, the people in the video are seen marching with young Giammaria, a child afflicted by a disease which has made him wheelchair bound.
This march symbolises the path and the daily commitment to advance Telethon scientific research towards a cure for rare genetic diseases.
Despite the differences in their daily activities, they all have the same message: "Our marathon, for those who fight a genetic disease, is #ognigiorno (everyday)".
